The Art of Facilitation

Objectives

This course enables participants to understand the process of employee involvement, learn and practice group facilitation skills and apply tools and techniques that enhance group process and increase the effectiveness of problem solving, project implementation, and work group team activities.

Description

This workshop provides skills practice in team facilitation, and teaches the distinctions between process, content, and task issues in group interactions. Additional topics include:

  • Meeting planning
  • Team leader support
  • Behavioral feedback
  • Handling conflict and problems
  • Basics of team development, group dynamics, and problem solving tools are also covered.

Target Audience

Supervisors, managers, and employees who may participate as facilitators on a project or problem solving work team.
